Directions to the pink Elephant

Exit the M11 at Junction 8A (travelling from the south) or Junction 8 (travelling from the north) and follow signs for Stansted Airport, take the first slip road on the left signposted Long Stay. At the roundabout take the first exit signposted Long Stay Car Park. Go straight over the next roundabout. The entrance to the car park is 400 yards on the left.

Getting there and arrival information

At entry barrier DO NOT press the button to get an entry ticket. Insert same credit card used to make the booking (last 4 digits shown on your confirmation) with the magnetic strip facing down and to the right - A ticket will be issued containing your unique booking reference and the barrier will open. A ticket will NOT be issued if the wrong credit card is used. Either, insert the correct card or press the button to obtain an entry ticket. Follow signs to the open zone. Transfers to and from the airport operate approx. every 20 mins taking 10 mins. Allow 45 mins from arrival to enter, park & transfer to terminal.On return go to the pick up point on terminal forecourt to collect the bus. If you entered using your credit card, drive to the exit barrier and insert the entry ticket issued with the booking reference on it. The barrier will open. No money will be taken from your card unless you have stayed longer than booked. If you took an entry ticket you must report to the Payment Office situated on the left-hand side just prior to the exit barrier where your booking will be processed manually. DO NOT insert a credit card at the exit barrier as you will be charged again at the standard gate rate.
